AFC East Injury Preview: Week 12

AFC East Injury Preview: Week 12

The NFL regular season is approaching the final third of the schedule with the Miami Dolphins playing the New England Patriots with this being the only divisional game this weekend.

The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets are on bye this week.

Read below for details on the injuries of both the Patriots and Dolphins inside.

Miami Dolphins

OUT

CB Kendall Fuller (Concussion)

Fuller is slowly ramping up his conditioning as he attempts to return from his second concussion this season suffered in Week 10. There is no timeline for his return as he appears to only be in Stage 2. He will miss his second consecutive game.

QUESTIONABLE

OT Terron Armstead (Knee)

Armstead has been working through a knee issue dating back to Week 8 but has not caused him to miss any games. He was unable to practice all week but has not practiced all week at times and still played.

FB Alec Ingold (Calf)

Ingold still continues to work back from a calf injury sustained in the Thursday practice prior to the Week 9 matchup against the Bills. He played through the injury but aggravated it that week and has missed the last two games.

ACTIVE

WR Tyreek Hill (Wrist)

Hill has had wrist issues all season in both wrists and it’s not clear which one he is receiving treatment for. The left wrist was the more problematic one recently due to a torn ligament that has been heating up with overuse.

DT Benito Jones (Shoulder)

Jones has been working through a shoulder injury picked up last week. Reports describe it as ailing but he has not been on the report recently for it.

OL Robert Jones (Knee/Groin)

Jones is still working through a knee injury sustained in Week 10 that he is playing through. He appeared in 100 percent of snaps last week and picked up a groin issue as well.

CB Jalen Ramsey (Knee)

Ramsey is still working through a knee issue dating back to Week 10 that has not appeared to affect his production.

LB Tyus Bowser (Knee/Calf)

Bowser has been on the injury report dating back to Week 5 when he signed with the team and picked up a calf injury this week.

C Aaron Brewer (Shoulder/Calf)

Brewer is a new addition to the injury report with a shoulder and calf issue but was able to get several full practices in this week.

LB Jordyn Brooks (Wrist)

Brooks has been playing through a wrist injury originally sustained in Week 8 but has no designation heading into the game.

TE Julian Hill (Shoulder)

Hill has been working through a shoulder injury originally suffered in Week 8, forcing him to miss the Bills game.

S Jevon Holland (Left Hand/Knee)

Holland has been working through a left-hand fracture dating back to Week 5 and dealing with a knee injury from Week 8. Other than missing one game due to the hand, he has played through the injuries.

RB Raheem Mostert (Hip)

Mostert suffered a hip injury during the first quarter of Sunday’s win which briefly forced him out of the game before he later returned.

INJURED RESERVE

OT Isaiah Wynn (Knee/Quad)

S Patrick McMorris (Right Calf)

Wynn’s practice window opened last week, and he continues to work back from a quad tendon tear last year. McMorris is still in his practice window as he returns from his right calf injury in the preseason.

New England Patriots

OUT

DT Jacqueline Roy (Neck)

Roy is still working through a neck injury that dates back to Week 9 and missed last week. Unfortunately, he was unable to practice this week and was ruled out on Friday.

QUESTIONABLE

OT Verderian Lowe (Shoulder)

Lowe has been working through injuries all season with the latest one being the shoulder dating back to Week 9.

DT Christian Barmore (Blood Clots)

Barmore continues to slowly ramp up his workload after practicing in full on Thursday and not practicing on Wednesday and Friday. This comes after he was activated back to the roster since suffering blood clots in July, placing him on the NFI list. He was able to return last week and played in 40 percent of defensive snaps.

DE Deatrich Wise Jr (Foot)

Wise picked up a foot injury in Week 10 and missed all last week, missing Week 11.

S Kyle Dugger (Ankle)

Dugger has been dealing with an ankle injury dating back to Week 5 and missed Week 8-10 before returning last week and playing in 100 percent of snaps.

S Marte Mapu (Neck)

Mapu has been dealing with a neck injury dating back to Week 8, missing last week.

CB Christian Gonzalez (Hip)

Gonzales was limited on Friday with a hip designation leaving him questionable heading into Week 12.

DE Keion White (Knee)

White picked up a knee injury in Week 11, was limited all week, and is questionable for Week 12.

LB Anfernee Jennings (Knee)

Jennings has been working through various injuries throughout this season with the latest one being a knee issue.

LB Sione Takitaki (Knee)

Takitaki has been dealing with a knee issue all season dating back to preseason coming off a knee scope. The exact issue remains unknown.

ACTIVE

TE Austin Hooper (Neck)

Hooper is a new addition to the injury report this week, able to practice in full.

LB Christian Elliss (Abdomen)

Ellis practiced in full on Wednesday and was removed from the injury report with no designation.

DT Devon Godchaux (Back)

Godchaux was limited on Thursday with a back issue but returned to full practice on Friday without a designation.

DT Daniel Ekuale (Elbow)

Ekuale has been on the injury report for the last several weeks due to an abdomen injury but is now dealing with an elbow injury but has no designation.

INJURED RESERVE

OL Cole Strange (Left Patellar Tendon Tear)

Strange opened his practice window this week after suffering a left patellar tendon tear late last season. Given the outcome of the season so far, I do not expect Strange to hurry back and to take his entire time available to practice before he is activated. He is looking at 2025 rather than 2024 in terms of production.

Buffalo Bills/New York Jets

Both teams are on bye this week in Week 12
