The Bills continued to focus on adding safety depth as they reshape the defense, signing S Geno Stone to a one-year deal.
Stone comes to Buffalo after stops in Baltimore and Cincinnati where he had played for six seasons total. He has extensive starting experience under his belt, starting 53 games and appearing in 85 total. He will attempt to secure a starting spot though will have to battle to knock off Cole Bishop or Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.
Read below for a full injury breakdown and analysis of Geno Stone.

Buffalo Bills Injury Analysis
Stone has missed only one game due to injury in his NFL career which is quite impressive. He did miss several weeks with COVID in 2020 but he was inactive most of the season.
Looking at his injuries as a whole, I don’t see anything concerning that could linger into 2026. He has had several hamstring injuries and the generalized soft tissue injury, but he has managed to play through those injuries. Even the more significant ones such as the thigh, he still has been able to get through the game even just as a special teams contributor.
His positional demands does increase his risk for future soft tissue injuries, but I wouldn’t say anymore than any other player at this point. He will have a strong shot to either start or be one of the key depth options at the safety position should either starter go down.
Injury wise, there’s zero concern moving forward. As a player, Bengals analyst Joe Goldberg had this to say about Stone’s time in Cincinnati.
I’d like to welcome Geno Stone to Buffalo and to remain healthy this season.
