Needing to add depth to the linebacker room after largely avoiding the position during free agency, the Buffalo Bills selected TCU LB Kaleb Elarms-Orr late in the fourth round.
The first team All Big 12 selection comes to Buffalo after playing in 47 games and starting 24 collecting 276 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, and 7 sacks between his time at Cal and TCU.
After rarely getting playing time until 2023, Elarms-Orr stepped up and made a difference especially after he got to TCU where he matured into an NFL prospect.
While he appears to be on an upward trend, he also brings injury history with him.
Read below for a full injury history and analysis.

Buffalo Bills Injury Analysis
Elarms-Orr has a fairly clean injury history besides the ACL tear during his senior year. While injuries are not predictable, there are variables that can increase the risk including extended time off or a quick ramp up. Considering the football season was pushed back roughly six months, teams hadn’t been on their normal schedule which threw the conditioning off which in turn increased the risk for injury.
In the article, he had even discussed with his coaches whether he should play to minimize the risk for injury. He took the risk and it didn’t turn out how he wanted.
By the time he steps on the field for rookie mini camp, he will be five years removed from the ACL tear and there really isn’t any risk moving forward. He was brought in for a Top 30 visit likely to check out his knee. It doesn’t appear that he’s even at risk for any soft tissue injuries as a result of the ACL tear.
Looking at the other injury, he was day-to-day and only missed one game indicating this wasn’t a long term issue.
Overall, there aren’t any concerns moving forward and as a fourth round pick, Elarms-Orr has a strong chance to contribute to the roster.
I would like to welcome Kaleb Elarms-Orr to Buffalo and to remain healthy this season.
