A back and forth game between the Bills and Buccaneers ended with a 44-32 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to move to 7-3 on the season. This was a roller coaster of a game with nine different lead changes over the course of the game before Josh Allen sealed the win with his third rushing touchdown and sixth overall on the day.
This game was incredibly sloppy at times but coming into the game, it was a toss up as to who could actually secure the win and move to 7-3. Fortunately the Bills did and appeared to avoid major injury which is always welcomed here at Banged Up Bills and in general.
Read below for all the injuries coming out of Sunday’s win and analysis.
In Game Injuries
WR Mecole Hardman (Left Calf)
Hardman quietly was ruled out from Sunday’s game career fumbling a punt return with 11:22 left in the third quarter.
He was not in for the next special teams snaps with the initial assumption he was benched, but he was spotted on the sidelines trying to work out and limping as seen below.
He was later ruled out with a calf designation after it initially appeared that he tweaked his left ankle. He did attempt to return was initially promising but the fact that he was ruled out and the Bills play on Thursday doesn’t look great for his chances to suit up in Week 12.
He was unable to practice on Monday.
WR Curtis Samuel (Neck/Elbow)
Samuel was a mild surprise during the injury report breakdown prior to practice indicating he would not participate in the walkthrough. He was classified as having a neck and elbow injuries. It’s important to note that he was on the injury report prior to Week 6 with a neck designation as well.
The first clip is where he appeared to aggravate his neck injury though he did not leave the game.
The second and third clips were possibilities as to when he could have injured his elbow. It’s not clear the exact issue he’s dealing with but my guess is the neck is the more pressing issue here that could affect his availability for Thursday.
Other Observations
DT Larry Ogunjobi (Left Shoulder)

Ogunjobi has kinesio tape all over the top of his left shoulder, something I have not noticed before. He hasn’t been on the injury report since he returned from his suspension, but worth noting in the event he shows up on the injury report.
LB Matt Milano (Right Pectoral)
Not really an update, but you can see how the kinesio tape is under his shirt as it sticks out to help the still healing tissue from his original Week 2 pectoral strain.

He still wears a shoulder harness on the right side to prevent against further injury, but this is another view how much these players have to prepare their bodies to play every week.
DB Jordan Hancock (Right Shoulder)

Hancock continues to wear a shoulder harness on his right shoulder dating back to the preseason from a series of stingers he has had going back to college. He hasn’t been on the injury report since Week 3, but I haven’t seen any pictures since then.
Final Thoughts
It was a sloppy game but the Bills pulled away with Josh Allen putting on the superhero cape. The Bills have a short week to get ready for the Houston Texans in another must win game in order to keep ground in the AFC East and playoff picture in general.
I expect there to be some surprise names on the injury report this week due to the quick turnaround but we could see the return of Shaq Thompson before the mini bye.
We’ll see what other news comes out of Monday’s press conference; make sure to check back after 4 pm for the latest news.
