The first draft pick for the Buffalo Bills in the 2026 NFL Draft was at pick 35 where they selected Clemson EDGE TJ Parker.
Parker comes to Buffalo after three seasons with Clemson where he saw action in 39 games with 29 starts securing 128 tackles, 41.5 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles. All this production comes even after a down year in 2025 per many draft analysts.
Fortunately, Parker also comes to the Bills with minimal injury concerns.
Read inside for a full injury history and analysis.

Buffalo Bills Injury Analysis
Parker comes into Buffalo rather healthy without any missed games in his career. The only notable issue is a right knee surgery from the 2024 spring followed by a left shoulder injury that he played through for most of the season.
Looking at his knee surgery, he is in multiple pictures on both Instagram and X wearing a compression sleeve on his right knee in spring of 2024.
It’s not clear what type of surgery he had but it didn’t appear to be significant as he was weightbearing rather quickly and he was only needing a sleeve for swelling. There also wasn’t any specifics or reports as to the extent of the injury. My assumption is that he had some slight fraying, or required smoothing down some cartilage, or loose bodies in the knee that needed to be cleaned out. That in itself doesn’t elicit much concern and isn’t indicative of needing to be fixed. He was still able to participate during spring practices but was limited for a portion of the session.
His shoulder injury is notable in that he needed to wear a harness for a majority of the season. He appeared to injure it either against Stanford or during practice until he played against South Carolina. Wearing a shoulder harness can be required for a number of conditions including a labrum tear, AC joint sprain, or pectoral strain. Considering there weren’t any injury reports or details, it’s possible he dealt with a minor pectoral strain or AC joint sprain, especially the latter requiring a shot prior to games. Looking at his stats especially from the 2024 season, it didn’t appear to hinder his stats.
Final Thoughts
Parker has a very clean injury history with the only minor concern being a knee scope three seasons ago. This is likely very similar to the TJ Sanders and Alec Anderson knee scope from last year. Both were able to return without having much of a decline in production.
This will be something to note if he shows up on the injury report in the future but he hasn’t appeared to have any issues over the last two seasons. I would like to know more about the shoulder but it is more likely nothing moving forward especially since he didn’t wear a harness in 2025.
This was a solid selection at a position the Bills need more production out of for deeper playoff runs.
I’d like to welcome TJ Parker to Buffalo and to remain healthy this season.
