The Buffalo Bills went defense again with their late second round pick after trading with the Denver Broncos to select Ohio State CB Davison Igbinosun.
After starting his career at Ole Miss, he transferred to Ohio State for his last three seasons. He saw game action in 56 games and started 53. He finished with 193 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 29 pass deflections, and 4 interceptions. Despite the production, he was also an easy target for penalties, taking 18 over the last two years.
Despite the penalty concerns, Igbinosun has shown to be durable over his career at Ole Miss and Ohio State.

Buffalo Bills Injury Analysis
I can’t find anything for Igbinosun at all. No reports that he required medical attention even briefly. No braces, harnesses, sleeves, anything at all. That’s impressive in itself to play a physical position needing to tackle, jump, cut, and backpedal without any reported issues.
With Igbinosun’s lack of injury history, this is more telling for the future of Dorian Strong. Brandon Beane even said as much in his press conference following the selection on Friday night. There isn’t a lot of depth behind Christian Benford and Maxwell Hairston so to add at an important position that you can develop is crucial and to backfill if prior draft picks fail to contribute. We saw the issues late last season when Hairston wasn’t available for the divisional round game due to a high-ankle sprain and when Tre’Davious White briefly had to leave the game. The cornerback position was decimated by that point and it cost them dearly.
There may have been more pressing needs but Igbinosun may have been the highest rated prospect on their board regardless of position.
I’d like to welcome Davison Igbinosun to Buffalo and to remain healthy this season.
