Addressing offensive line depth, the Buffalo Bills selected Boston College OT Jude Bowry with the 102 pick on Day 3. This came after moving back one spot to get an extra seventh round pick from the Las Vegas Raiders.
Bowry comes to Buffalo after four years at Boston College with a redshirt season in 2023. He appeared in 31 career games and started 23. According to Dane Brugler’s “The Beast” draft guide, he has the versatility to play right and left tackle along with the potential to move inside to guard. Additionally, he was on Bruce Feldman’s Freaks List in 2025 and has a 9.37 RAS score.
Despite the versatility and athletic ability, Bowry does carry some injury history.

Buffalo Bills Injury Analysis
Bowry’s injury history was rather difficult to find and often had contradicting information based on the sources. I do want to thank Alex Kozora of Steelers Depot for giving me a starting point, but there was plenty of vague or incomplete bits of info without supporting sources.
With many of the injuries, they were undisclosed injuries that cost him three total games which indicates that these were not serious injuries. The same could be said for his leg injury against Pitt in 2024 that forced him to miss the bowl game against Nebraska.
He did have several pictures that showed him wearing a left shoulder harness which could have been the reason he missed practices in fall camp. The picture below was from Michigan State on September 6.

His hip flexor injury is notable in that he appeared to possibly suffer the injury in fall camp and it lingered all season costing him at least two games in his final season. Finally, that undisclosed injury against Notre Dame, I’d like to have more information about it, especially if it’s a concussion, but it’s not currently available.
Looking at everything as a whole, I don’t see anything that sticks out other than he tends to get nicked up but doesn’t miss extended time. There doesn’t appear to be anything that lingers but considering his starting experience and his athletic upside, I like the selection knowing that he can be developed as a swing tackle or moved inside to guard if O’Cyrus Torrence leaves next year in free agency. It didn’t seem like a huge need but a Day 3 pick that could be depth this year and transition into the starting lineup next year is beneficial.
I’d like to welcome Jude Bowry to Buffalo and to remain healthy this season.
